I love that our team won and considered going to the parade, but I watched them win the game and didn’t feel the need to go to the parade also. I mean, go to this event that’s pretty tangential to my life or use my time in the studio?

Studio wins every time, if I can get away with it, lol!

It's been a good studio week. I've been making nice progress on new Soft Poem pieces and a couple of other slightly larger paintings. Trying out some new approaches to the Soft Poems with colors and mediums. With sixteen of them made last year, I'm trying to not repeat myself, but I also don't want to disregard something I did already because there might be a new way to approach that idea. Anyway, things are moving forward and that's what counts.
